Coordinator and Engineer needed for events 2026

Hi,
We will need  members to coordinate and engineer the following events for 2026. If you think you are up to the challenge and would like to try please contact Geoff G7JZM or Mike G7HEN

 

Three Peaks Fell Race
Three Peaks Fell Race Sat 25 Apr 2026

Engineering only - you will be working with Mike G6WTM From Nidderdale
Three radio nets with repeaters and three simplex short range net works
A minimum of 39 radio operators - Mike G6WTM will sort this part. You needed to find  3 to 4 for engineering
Main Net - Run by Mike G6WTM
Incident net - Run by Mike G6WTM or Brian G0RHI or Engineering
Transport Net - Run by Brian G0RHI
Liaise with Cave Rescue Organisation to set up a radio link with RAYNET control to CRO control on - SAR Channels
Sort out PA coms on the day - UK Light system
Sort out Road closures coms on the day - UK Light system
Liaise with for Frist Aid coms on the day - UK Light system

  •  A minimum of 14 radio operators - Brian G0RHI will sort this part. You needed to find 2 to 3 for engineering

  • Engineering only - one radio repeater nets needed, you will be Working with Brian G0RHI From Richmond
  • This is a large area to cover for this event and will need 4 repeaters link togather
  • A minimum of 24 radio operators - Brian G0RHI will sort most of this part. You needed to find 5 to 6 for engineering
  • Engineer in control room for event
  • Longest radio link from control is 53 km
  • Area to cover about 2115 km
